About Shawn Hartley

I’ve been building websites and solving digital marketing problems since 1995. Most of my career has been agency-side, including building the interactive department at Bozell (then the 13th largest agency worldwide) and leading digital teams at Turnpost and Corporate Three Design. I’ve worked on projects for Fortune 100 companies and local startups, which taught me how to navigate enterprise complexity and small business constraints.

In 2008, I started consulting independently. Today I work with small and mid-sized businesses across the U.S., mostly through referrals from past clients and peers. My background spans marketing strategy, WordPress development, local SEO, and technical infrastructure, which means I can usually diagnose problems faster and fix them without coordinating between multiple vendors.

What makes this work

Most businesses don’t need another strategist who hands off implementation to someone else. They need someone who can figure out what’s wrong, fix it, and explain what happened in plain language. That’s what 25 years of doing both strategy and execution makes possible.

When you work with me, you work directly with me. No account managers, no junior staff, no markup for agency overhead. The person you talk to is the person doing the work.

Background

I live in Omaha, Nebraska with my wife, Terri. We have two adult children. When I’m not working on client projects, I’m usually outside golfing, camping, or hiking.

Most new clients start with a specific problem: a broken website, a Google Maps listing that won’t cooperate, or a marketing system that’s not delivering results. Many continue into ongoing work once the immediate issue is resolved and they see how things can improve with consistent attention.

Let’s talk.
